Linen Look: 65% polyester, 35% rayon. A blend that has the appearance and texture of linen but not the wrinkles. A comfortable, lightweight fabric. If you order a white or ivory robe we recommend you order with lining. Machine wash, but not in every style due to application of decorative trims. If there is trim applied to the robe it is dry clean. Review the care instructions for each robe.
Peachskin Microfiber: 100% Polyester. The fabric is lightly sanded to give it a texture like peach skin, with a slight sheen. Microfiber is a new type of polyester fiber that has the ability to breathe due to the construction of the yarn. We have heard from many customers that this fabric is cool and comfortable to wear. Wash and wear, comes out of the dryer with no need for ironing. This is the fabric to choose if you travel frequently with your robe, it can take the abuse.
Wool: 100% Wool. A very fine, tropical weight that drapes beautifully and does not wrinkle. The most breathable fabric we offer, it is all natural fiber. This fabric performs best when lined. Dry clean only.
Silk Dupioni: 100% Silk. Beautiful with a slight sheen, but not shiny. This fabric is also called Thai silk. Somewhat like silk shantung, it has slight lines showing in the weave and slub yarns create random bumps. It is best to store in a closet, do not hang for any length of time in a place where sunlight falls directly on the garment. Direct light can fade the color.
Raw Silk: 100% silk. A flat weave, you may be familiar with this fabric because it is used in suits. Natural and also elegant in appearance, this medium weight fabric is comfortable to wear and doesn’t wrinkle. You may want to order with lining, raw silk has flecks that may come off on darker clothing worn underneath. Dry clean only.
End on End: 100% Cotton. Used in The Fitted Shirts (3106 and 3306). All cotton with a very slight check pattern in the fabric from the weaving of light and dark threads together. Yes, it does wrinkle but is worth it for the appearance and quality of this shirt. Machine wash or professionally launder. Use hot iron temperature, as needed.
Cotton Sateen: 100% Cotton. Used in the Sleeveless Blouse (3101). All cotton for coolness, the sateen weave creates a subtle shine. Washes great and the black color holds up well through years of washing. Machine wash, use hot iron temperature as needed.
Pinpoint Oxford: 60% Cotton/40% Polyester. Used in the Basic Shirt. A very densely woven fabric, not much see through in white. Mostly cotton for comfort. Machine wash.
Broadcloth: 55% Cotton/45% Polyester. Buttermilk color, used in the Basic Shirt (3115, 3315) short sleeve. We like this because it has more cotton than polyester. But we have heard you may want to wear a camisole underneath, not as densely woven as our other broadcloth. But a lovely color. Machine wash, hot or warm iron as needed.
Broadcloth: 65% Polyester/35% Cotton. Used in The Fitted Shirt (3106, 3306 color Black), and The Basic Shirts, all styles. (See product description of each style.) Our broadcloth has more yarns per square inch, so it is slightly denser, less see-through. This means it looks nicer and lasts longer than our competition's fabric. Washes great, wash and wear.
Peachskin Microfiber: 100% Polyester. The fabric is lightly sanded to give it a texture like peach skin, with a slight sheen. Also, microfiber is a new type of polyester that has the ability to breathe due to the construction of the yarn. We have heard from many customers that this fabric is cool and comfortable to wear. Machine wash and if removed promptly will need no ironing, ever. If you touch up, use lowest iron setting, it is sensitive to heat and can scorch.
